Troja is the compliance half of Merco, licensed on its own: plot registry, satellite verification, a defensible rating, and EUDR Due Diligence Statements you can hand to a European buyer. No marketplace listing, no orders, no one seeing your customers. You keep your trade relationships exactly as they are — you stop losing them to paperwork.
The work
Four steps,
and a gate at the end.
The order matters. Land, then verification, then rating, then the statement — because a statement issued before the land is checked is a liability with a logo on it.
Register the land
Upload plot boundaries as GeoJSON in WGS84 / EPSG:4326, with where the geometry came from — a public registry, a certifier, or your own survey. Provenance is recorded with the polygon, because an unattributed boundary is not evidence.
Satellite verification
Each polygon is read from Copernicus Sentinel-2: an NDVI histogram for the EUDR baseline window (Jul–Dec 2020) against the trailing 180 days, fused deterministically into CLEAR, REVIEW, DETECTED or UNVERIFIED. Anything short of clear holds the statement — the check gates the document, it does not annotate it.
Rating and gaps
The compliance engine rates the company against the regimes its materials actually fall under, and returns the specific missing items rather than a score alone. Every input is deterministic and every result is traceable to the rule that produced it.
Issue the statement
When the evidence gate passes, Troja issues the EUDR Due Diligence Statement as a PDF and as TRACES XML, hash-locked and referencing the verified polygon IDs, HS codes and your EORI number.
Source · lib/compliance/plot-satellite.ts — Copernicus Sentinel-2 L2A, EUDR cut-off 31 December 2020, WGS84/EPSG:4326. Hansen GFC and GLAD are cross-checks when enabled; they are not what the verdict rests on. Where no signal can be read the polygon comes back UNVERIFIED, which is a hold, not a pass.
The statement
A document
that survives a customs desk.
The Due Diligence Statement references the verified polygon IDs, the product HS codes and your EORI number, and is hash-locked when it issues. It exports as a PDF for the buyer and as TRACES XML for the EU Information System. The same evidence file answers the next buyer who asks — you do not rebuild it per customer.
Beside this: the compliance cells as they appear in the workspace. Each cell is a gate with a state, not a status badge — a red cell blocks the statement.
The rating
A score you can
take apart.
The rating is deterministic: the same inputs give the same number, every input is visible, and each one traces to the rule that produced it. What you act on is not the number but the list under it — the specific missing certificate, the polygon without provenance, the audit that expires in five weeks.
Buyers see the grade and the gate, never your internal figures. What the method checks is written out in full at /compliance/methodology.

Those are the full platform. If you move up to it later, the plots, certificates and statements you have already filed come with you — the evidence is the account, not the plan.
